The vision has been there for several years but came into reality January 1st 2016.
As I looked at the streets of our country Liberia and saw the blood shut eyes of our youths, the increased crime rate, the make shift ghettos in almost every community etc. I was moved to not only take action but to acquire more knowledge from those who have a high level of experience in handling and dealing with addicts.
My first mentor was Dr. David Hinn who took me through an effective and rigorous training in the USA on the subject of how to Disciple an addict. Kudos to Rev. Snow.
After the training, I prayed and decided to start to evangelize and disciple addicts upon my return to Liberia from the USA.
That is how it all started and the progress is phenomenon especially with the heart rendering testimonies from men and women that have been set free from the chains of addiction here in Liberia.
OBJECTIVE
1.Is to snatch our youths from the web of addiction
2. To restore hope to addicts that with God all things are possible.
3. To set up A2D training centers in every community, town, and village in Liberia.
4. Establish a rehabilitation center where these addicts will go through series of rehabilitation procedures in order to be made whole again.
5. To use the most powerful and unfailing weapon to combat addiction which is the WORD of God.
6. To help reduce, minimize, or eradicate crime in our society using the alternative measure which is sharing the Love of God with them.
7. To disciple an addict who will in turn disciple another addict.
STRATEGY
1. Reaching out to one community at a time.
2. Prayer is the pillar of our strength.
3. The next step is to introduce who we are, share the word of God and provide refreshment for the addicts on our outreach.
4. We introduce our discipleship program to those who will come over to our discipleship center after our outreach.
5. If any of the addicts become consistent in the A2D training, they are informed of the rehabilitation process.
6. Dedicated ones that kept coming for the introduction of our discipleship training, will enroll in our temporary Rehab center for a period we call ‘Lock Down” which lasts for two weeks where they do not leave the center at all and then undergo medical treatment in our clinic if needs be.
7. After the two weeks, that group is then taken to the next level of our training which is the monitoring state that lasts for 3-6 months as the case may be.
8. Those who successfully complete our circle of monitoring, and continuous discipleship training, are prepared for graduation, certification and a “start a new life package”.
9. After their graduation, they are integrated into the society with a self sustainable skill that enables them to be productive and useful to themselves. the nation and to God’s kingdom.
Though there are few other surmounting challenges, these are the most desperate needs.
> Bibles and Christian literatures.
> To build a center of hope that will serve as a Rehab and a vocational center for the addicts. For now I rented four single rooms in a house near the church building where we house them to go through the rehab process.
> Mini Bus for our outreach programs.
> Food, clothing, shoes, toiletries, first aid medical equipments and subsidy for the workers.
